Merci Paris…

I ought to post this month’s short trip to Paris before Valentine’s Day since I believe Paris is one of the most romantic places in the world with its streets, arts and architecture. Since I had only 3 days as a Parisian, I tried my best to consume Paris as much as I could. As I mentioned in my past post ‘London the city that never sleeps’, I do like to stroll around the city. In Paris, I can do it whole day since every street or alley offers you something amazing. With the Citymapper app on your phone getting lost is not an issue anymore, however in Paris I really wanted to get lost as you don’t know what fabulous things you might bump into.

We were staying at Saint-Germain in Hotel des 2 Continents, which I found it to be comforting and homey. And its location is also handy for walking around. It is literally 10 minutes away by walk from Musee D’orsay.

The day we arrived we wandered to the famous brasserie Les Deux Magots and gulped delicious madame croques.

I think brasseries are a linchpin for Paris. Sticking around in a brasserie and watching people as they go past make you empty your mind and take a relief for a moment.

I indulged in Paris while I was walking through Palais Garnier.

Palais Garnier grasps you into it immediately as you walk by it. I found myself thinking how fascinating it must be to perform in this opera house. Performers should burst with pride. Just simply gorgeous!

As I visited the city before, this time I wanted to visit Musee D’orsay and Musee Picasso Paris.

Taking photographs is forbidden in Musee d’Orsay, hence it’s a pity that I couldn’t get enough photographs for you.

This photo is just for you to anticipate how impressive Musee d’Orsay is by its restaurant.

Musee Picasso is in the fashionable district of Le Marais so I enjoy the best of both worlds. Street arts, pop-up shops, concept stores, wine bars and cocktail clubs put forward themselves in this area.

You can spend a half-day in the Musee Picasso which I believe was the highlight of my trip to Paris. Magnificent variety of Picasso’s works and it is laid out pretty well.
